LEGALSTATUS OF GUAR GUM USES-AN APPROVED FOOD INGREDIENT THE WONDER POWDER

Unmodified guar gum powder processed using” Good Manufacturing practices”(GMP)is approved for food use and is included in the Food chemical codex (FCC).it is a natural product approved as a direct food additive by the WHO/FAO, and  in the united states by FDA regulation 121.104-generally recognized as safe (GRAS).in Europe the scientific committee for food (SCF) of the euro peon economic community (EEC) has admitted and listed guar gum in a positive list of food additives.EEC recognition number for guar gum is E-412.
